Tesha Barnett

Owner, Director, Instructor
Tesha has trained in dance for 14 years, and theatre for 6, and has now instructed both for 5. Tesha has a wide range of disciplines including tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, rhythm tap, pointe, theatre dance, tumbling, and stepping. Upon completing high school she attended Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA where she received a performing arts scholarship. At Cedar Crest she obtained a BA in Dance as well as a BA in Theatre. While at Cedar Crest, she completed a senior project that entailed writing, directing, producing, and performing her own one woman show. During her career at Cedar Crest she was a member of all 4 dance companies, and obtained a lead role in numerous theatre productions sophomore through senior year. Tesha was secratary of Nu Delta Alpha and recieved the Aplha Psi Omega award her senior year for outstanding work in the performing Arts. She was also co-captain and later captain of Earthquake, Cedar Crest's step team. Upon graduation she worked with Art of Dance, Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, and Lafayette College choreographing, and was a fitness instructor at LA Fitness. Tesha has also worked with Turner's Gym in Johnstown as a dance coach for their USAF hip hop teams. Tesha has a lot of competition experience ranging from Regional to National levels as a dancer,cheerleader, and choreographer. Tesha moved back to her home town to continue to expand her knowledge and spread her love for the arts. She has two beautiful children, Juellian and Jaidah, a supportive husband, and a family that has helped her bring her dreams full circle. Opening Soul on Sole Studio Productions, LLC has been of dream of hers for years and to finally see it happen is such a huge reward. Tesha believes that a lot of young dancers come to her at a time when they are vulnerable so it is her job to train the whole person, not just the dancer. She feels it is not her her job to teach, rather it is to nurture a students' want and desire to educate him or herself. She feels it is important to give everyone the opportunity to grow, both the weak and the strong, if their feet are not in the right place at least their hearts are.

Joelle Rosenbaum

Joelle has a lifelong love of dance her training began at the age of 4. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz,lyrical, Pointe and musical theatre. Joelle has taught performed and choreographed for Laurel Arts Dance Center for 7 years specializing in the young students giving her 26 years of dance experience as a dancer, teacher’s helper and chorographer. She is a graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College with an Associate’s Degree in Business. She is also currently employed at Somerset Hospital Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Joelle is a wife and a mother of 2 amazing boys Ethan and Ian who share her huge heart, and the journey continues as I look forward to bringing my love and passion for dance to my students. It takes a good balance of firmness, softness, patience and perseverance, but overall a love for children and the desire to train them with creativity, and Joelle does this with smiles and grace.
